Gafcon Volunteers for One San Diego

08/14/19 – We Have Your Kids Back: Inspiring Kids to Succeed

Each year, the school supplies lists grow, and families in need often struggle to find a way to ensure their child will be able to attend their first day of school with necessary school supplies. One San Diego ensures that these students in need show up to their first day of school with a new backpack and all necessary school supplies. For the 2019-2020 school year, One San Diego is partnering with San Diego Unified School District to reach over 3,700 elementary school students.

The program will be implemented between August 19-August 26 and will include the following eight schools:

  • Encanto Elementary School
  • Horton Elementary School
  • Walker Elementary School
  • Perkins Elementary School
  • Balboa Elementary School
  • Kimbrough Elementary School
  • Webster Elementary School
  • Baker Elementary School

Gafcon is proud to not only contribute financially to this worth cause, but also to provide volunteers for this effort. To find out more about how you can help this vital program, please visit One San Diego or contact Mike Clark, Senior Project Manager for Gafcon, via email at or 858.573.5824.
