Senior Project Manager
Joined Gafcon 2009
I am a licensed architect with over 35 years of experience managing all phases of architecture and construction projects. Having successfully completed over $500 million in public works projects, I know how to bring stakeholders together into highly functioning teams to collaborate on master planning, programming and design of 21st century facilities, with strategic budget management.
For five years I was Gafcon’s Campus Project Manager overseeing a $400M capital program for San Diego’s largest community college. I also managed master planning and sustainability projects for a large K-12 district, and the preconstruction phases of a high-profile municipal project and a worship facility.
After graduating from Virginia Tech with a Bachelor of Architecture, I worked for several architectural firms specializing in education and commercial projects, and then owned my own architectural and project management practice focusing on residential and corporate projects. I later became the Campus Architect/Associate Director of Planning, Design and Construction at Cal State University San Marcos for 12 years, where I earned my MBA.
